The Dells – Love Is Blue / 1969

A fine album that included their excellent version of the title cut, some other stirring ballads, and some good uptempo tunes. The Dells were now in peak form, with Marvin Jr.’s booming voice and Charles Stepney‘s productions and good arrangements turning them into the hitmakers they never were in the doo-wop days.
